The fall season means I will begin the binge eating of pumpkin bread, muffins, pie, cupcakes, cookies, candies and more. I will hook myself to a pumpkin spice latte IV. Drinking = Pumpkin Beer. I will pick them, carve them, and roast their seeds. I’ll put one on my desk at work. Hell, maybe I’ll be a pumpkin for Halloween (but probably not because I’m almost always a vampire). While it’s important to taste test a variety of pumpkin treats, every year I have a few set essentials, that I will have day in and day out until I can have them no longer. Here are Fall ’15’s Favorites:
Pumpkin Spice Lattes
DUH! Every basic white girl, and her basic BFF needs a good PSL like the lungs need oxygen. My favorite is Starbucks, obv. BUT, I will settle for Dunkin Donuts, or really anywhere. IDGAF as long as the pumpkin and espresso blend is in my mouth. Okay, even without the espresso I’m good. Lots of times I opt for pumpkin coffee – cheaper, and I feel like I can binge drink it better than a latte. I love to keep some pumpkin spice creamer on hand at work, so I can get my yummy fix, mixed with mediocre office coffee. My favorite is Nestle Coffee Mate Pumpkin Spice – it’s the perfect amount of spice, and not too sugary tasting!
Or if you’re feeling like Martha Stewart, you could try to make your own! I found this recipe here:
This is where shit gets good. Pumpkin beer. Some hate it, some love it. I’m part of the latter group, myself. Pumpkin beer is like the PSL’s wild and crazy step sister. Want to have some sloppy fun, and still live up to your basic bitch standards? Try ordering one of these next time you’re out!
Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale
This one is delicious with pumpkin spice topping sprinkled on top!
Southern Tier Pumking
Saranac Pumkin Ale
Pumpkin beer for the beer lover.
This one might seem a little strange, but I am obsessed. I’ve been on a Chobani kick for the last few months and I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. So, I started simple, with Chobani Pumpkin Greek Yogurt. BOMB. Great pumpkin flavor, with just a little bit of “spice” to it.
Then I look it up a notch. Chobani Flips changed my life. I started off having these delicious morning delicacies a few months ago, and have been addicted to the Key Lime Pie and Dark Chocolate & Coconut flavors. I was very pleased to find out that the pumpkin version was just as good. Classic pumpkin yogurt with biscotti pieces, walnuts and pumpkin seeds.
Check Chobani out on twitter if you want to get reviews on different flavors…Just search the hashtag #BreakYouMake or check out the site 🙂
